Applecross via Bealach na Ba

After a peaceful night at Dainglean we set off for Applecross where we have booked a campsite for the night.

Along the way we stopped at Eilean Donan castle to buy some cake, mmmmm

After we had eaten our cake we headed off again and stopped at the top of Bealach na Ba which today was up in the clouds. It is a bit scary driving on single track roads in thick cloud hopefully the sun n will be out when we head back.

Next up was a stop at  Toscaig for a cup of tea and the cake we bought earlier.  Well it’s time for us to head back to the campsite for the evening, have a lovely evening whippersnappers and I will catch up with all tomorrow with mores travelers tales from Grandma, Grandad and sleepy Sam.

Journey’s start

Well Whippersnappers we are on our way North on day one of the trip, Oban to Glengarry about 75 miles. We are parked for the night at Dainglean settlement with a fantastic view.

Glengarry

Preparing for the off

Lots of things to sort out before heading north from Oban to travel around Scotland’s North Coast 500.  Our VW T4 is ready and raring to go …

A beautiful day in Oban with the “Flying Dutchman” tied on the breakwater outside the window.
